Didii Jewelry
About Us
Didii is a Korean-Canadian jewellery and accessories studio founded by a Busan-born designer. We combine century-old Korean craft — from tassels and knots to hand-forged metalwork — with contemporary Canadian design sensibilities.
All pieces are designed in Canada and hand-made by artisans in Busan, Korea. Each collection celebrates craft, cross-cultural storytelling, and everyday luxury.
Our design practice is shaped by two homes.
In Busan, I learned the language of detail — mother-of-pearl inlay, braided silk, and the geometry of a knot that holds a pendant in place.
In Canada, I learned to edit, to ask what a piece does for someone’s life. I studied studio arts and metalsmithing at university, where a rigorous studio schedule taught me to make quickly, test boldly, and value repeatable, wearable design.
Every Didii piece begins as a sketch, then a material test with Busan artisans.
We prototype with local metalworkers for signet rings and hairpins, with textile workshops for scarves and ties, and with milliners for hats and belts. We use a mix of recycled metals and responsibly sourced components wherever possible because heritage should be future-friendly.
Our work references Korean forms — the norigae’s pendant-and-tassel structure, the silhouette of a jokduri crown, knotting traditions — but we translate them into minimalist, wearable accessories for everyday Canadian life.
